Own your own school

Want to own your own school? This is your chance, though teachers aren't included. Neither are corn dogs to serve in your cafeteria.

You have a choice of two buildings. Both are in Columbus, Ga.

One is at 96 40th St. There are two buildings and the main one has three floors and 21,617 square feet. It includes a comfortable auditorium. The annex has 1,930 square feet. Take Second Avenue to Comer. Go right on 40th St. If you worked at the old Bibb Mill, you probably recognize this as the former Bibb Elementary School, where children in the mill village used to learn to read and write.

The second site includes four buildings on 11 acres on Benning Drive, in sight of Victory Drive. You will have 150,447 square feet, a gymnasium, an auditorium and a cafeteria. Rats come with the property. Maybe even a few vagrants. People who've been around the southside of Columbus know this is historic Baker High School — Newt Gingrich's alma mater.

The Muscogee County School District has put both properties on the market. Trey Carmack of Coldwell Banker Commercial is the agent. Better hurry. Offers are sure to come.

Buy both schools and you can build your own administration building.

I have another idea Richard. Why not renovate the Baker High School building for the new school district administrative building. That way they can make the whole gym the Superintendant's office and he can live like the King he wants to be.
