Causey and effect

What a finish in the Georgia Tech-Notre Dame basketball game on Monday. A long 3-pointer by Matt Causey with 2 seconds to play sealed the deal for the Yellow Jackets. What a great story it is to realize that two years ago Matt Causey was at Lumpkin Coliseum playing against Columbus State University. He and his brother had transferred to Dahlonega so they could play together at North Georgia. Matt was hyper and driven. He was all the court, talking to teammates, talking to referees, talking to opponents. And if nobody else would listen, he talked to himself. He was a talent though and fun to watch. Now, after sitting out a year as a walk-on, he is the point-guard by elimination. Others went to the NBA or got hurt, so Matt Causey is out there in a Tech uniform. Somebody finally listened to all his talking, I guess.
