Good Old Rudy

Reports claim former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani was once a target of the mob.

I cant speak to that, but I do remember being at a pre 9-11 game at Yankee Stadium. It was Old Timers Day and the crowd was large and lively on a Saturday afternoon. Posted around the top of the stadium were armed members of the riot squad and waking through the stands were an unusually large number of police.

Then we found out why.

Down below us was the mayor — the same Giuliani who wants to be President.

As he went to his seat, fans booed and yelled at his honor. One boisterous fellow was given an escorted exit. People around us said it was because Giuliani was a confessed fan of he New York Mets.

Now I wonder.
