Autographs at the post office

When the Milgen Road Post Office in Columbus, Ga., was renamed for the late Frank Lumpkin Jr. on Monday morning people were seeking autographs.

Of an 8-year-old.

Frank Lumpkin IV was asked to sign cancelled letters and he was very willing to apply his signature.

His grandfather was a generous but eccentric character who quietly supported good causes all over Columbus — especially if the people were Georgia Bulldog fans.
